What is a brow lift/forehead lift?
A brow lift addresses the natural aging process of the forehead and eyebrows. The forehead skin is repositioned to improve the appearance of low set eyebrows. Additionally, this may improve the appearance of the upper eyelid. A forehead lift or brow lift is intended to give a more youthful and rested appearance to the forehead and upper eyelids.

Who is a good candidate?

Good candidates are men or women who have:

• Low set eyebrows that produce a "tired" or "frowning" appearance
• Non-smokers or have ceased smoking two months prior to the procedure
• Overall good health

What to expect during your consultation.

Dr. Stephenson will evaluate your overall health and more specifically evaluate your skin quality, skin laxity, folds, wrinkles of your forehead, hairline and the position of the inner, middle and outer portions of your eyebrows.  Additionally, Dr. Stephenson will evaluate your upper eyelids. This evaluation will help him to develop your individual plan.  During the consultation, Dr. Stephenson encourages you to discuss any areas of your appearance that concern you as well what you hope to accomplish with surgery.  This will help Dr. Stephenson understand your goals/expectations and whether these expectations can be realistically achieved.

Brow lift Recovery

Swelling and bruising are expected of the forehead and eyes after browlift surgery, although this will vary between patients.  This swelling and bruising start to resolve during the first week after surgery.  The forehead may have some decreased sensation that will improve over time.  Most patients can resume modest activity in 7 to 10 days.  Complete recovery occurs in about two weeks.
